With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Noreen Patricia Harvey, who departed this life suddenly on October 20, 2025, at the age of 78.
Noreen was born on June 23, 1947, in Aliquippa, PA, to the late Annie Bell Hall and Raybon Harvey. It was there that her journey began and her love for family and faith blossomed. She was a devoted member of Triedstone Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as an usher and member of the usher board. She was also a proud member of John F. Moreland 801 Elks, where she served as a Daughter.
Noreen was a woman of rare kindness and endless generosity. She had a heart of gold and a spirit that shined brightly in everything she did. Her love was unconditional, and her presence brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her. Noreen gave freely of her time, care, and heart—always putting others before herself. She was genuine, pure-hearted, and authentic in every way. She taught her family the values of compassion, strength, and faith, leaving behind a legacy that will live on through all those she touched.
She believed in the importance of family and cherished spending quality time with her loved ones—hosting family dinners, game nights, playing Bingo with her crew, and visiting the casino every chance she got.
Noreen graduated from Aliquippa High School, Class of 1965. After graduation, she moved to New Jersey to attend Job Corps for nursing. Following completion of the program, she returned home and later pursued business school, which led to employment at Jones and Laughlin (J&L) Steel. She spent her final working years as a Supervisor at Telespectrum (ProMark), where she later retired.
She leaves to cherish her memory three loving daughters and a son-in-law: Suprena (Joseph) Sheppard, Hope Harvey, and Boyanne Harvey; three devoted grandsons and a granddaughter-in-law: William Sr. (Markisha) Iverson, Isaiah Harvey, and Ke’Shawn Sheppard; seven great-grandchildren: William Jr., Lailah, Londyn, and Onyx Iverson; Elijah and Jayniya Huber; and Ka’Liyah Sheppard.
She also leaves behind two devoted nephews, who were more like sons, John Willie Lindsey and Tyshon Tyson; her devoted companion of 60 years, James Fordham of Elizabeth City, New Jersey; and a host of cherished family members including Gershon and Bernice Humphries, Brenda Gilliam, Clifford Hall Jr., nephews Mark Humphries and Richard Lowe, Melissa Gilliam, Draper Gilliam, and Gene Inerson as well as several other loving relatives and friends.
She will be truly missed by her close friends, whom she lovingly gave special nicknames: Shirley Hines (Sis), Caroline Jackson (Bestie), Yvonne Jackson (Friend), Margo Collins (Marge), Louise Elmore (Whezzie), and Pamela McCracken Brown Lois (Pamela Sue).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Bell Hall and Raybon Harvey; sister Jerrie Anna Harvey; uncle Clifford Hall Sr.; aunts Anna Laura Taylor and Celma Owens; and dear friends Anna Tyson, Betty Cottman, and Omega Davis.
Noreen’s warmth, wisdom, and love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was one of strength, faith, and kindness—a legacy that continues through the family she so deeply loved.
