Not sure what to say?

I'm so saddened to learn of Noreen's passing. I didn't know her well, but she came to the quilting group whenever she could, and made beautiful things. She was a pleasure to be with. My heart goes out to all of her family.

I’ll carry her memory with deep appreciation for the love and care she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the people she touched and the kindness she showed. I'm so blessed to have had the opportunity to be part of her life.

In Loving Memory of Noreen T. PhilbinMay 17, 1945 – July 25, 2025

Noreen T. Philbin of Clermont, Florida passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, at the age of 80, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bronx, New York on May 17, 1945, Noreen lived a life marked by compassion, creativity, and service to her community.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Jack Philbin; her two sons, John Philbin and Mike Philbin; beloved daughters-in-law, Julie Philbin and Lili Philbin; five cherished grandchildren, Matthew Philbin, Meagan Campbell, Lauren Philbin, Liam Philbin, and Micah Philbin; two great-grandchildren, Leonardo and Luella Campbell; and her sister, Maria Geffers, of Pennsylvania.

Noreen was preceded in death by her parents, James and Johanna Felton; her brother, Jimmy Felton; and her sister, Joan Felton.

Her warmth and generosity touched many. She gave her time freely to the King’s Ridge Veterans Singers, where her spirit and voice uplifted fellow members and guests alike. Her hands were rarely still—whether crafting intricate quilts or knitting keepsakes, her artistry was a reflection of the passion she poured into everything she did.

In recent years, Noreen devoted herself as caregiver to her husband, Jack, with unwavering tenderness and resilience. Her strength and grace in this role spoke volumes about her character and her deep love for family.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, and in the stitches of every blanket she made and melody she sang.

A memorial service will be held on August 14th at 11:00 AM at Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, Florida, followed by a brief committal at her final resting place of Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Noreen may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
