Norma C. Puthoff, age 99, of Ft. Loramie, died at 10:35 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Heritage Manor, Minster. She was born on April 3, 1918, in McCartyville, to the late Bernard & Mary (Hoying) Pleiman. On September 7, 1940, she married Bernard W. Puthoff, who died November 19, 1990. She is survived by nine children, Dorothy ‘Dottie’ & David Meyer of Ft. Loramie, Jeannette & Marvin Moeller of New Bremen, Eileen Reser of Springboro, Connie Herkenhoff of Minster, Paul Puthoff of Ft. Loramie, Rose & Thomas Koverman of St. Marys, Treva & Don Borchers of Russia, Alfred & Mary Jo Puthoff of Russia and Donna & Phil Lafara of New Colony, Texas, 31 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and in-laws, Eileen Pleiman of Osgood and Helen Puthoff of Dayton. She was preceded in death by a son, Don Puthoff and his wife, Pat Billing, two grandchildren, Stacy Meyer and Desiré Puthoff, and brothers, Henry, Albin, Leonard, Sylvester, Jerome and Bernard Pleiman, and sisters, Ann Henry, Corrine Bornhorst, and Stella Evers. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie and St. Anne’s Ladies Sodality. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at St. Michael Church, Ft. Loramie, with Fr. Steven Shoup, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, June 5 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Ft. Loramie Rescue Squad.
