Pop, I really miss u, I miss all those telephone calls from u. me and u talking on the phone for hours,u joking and me laughing at ur jokes, our debates, about politics, etc. I'm so sad, it won"t be the same without u. love u and u will always be in my heart!!ur oldest daughter, will always love u and u was a good father, I'm so Blessed to have had u in my life for 70years!

Norman's Obituaries

Mr. Norman Howard Bonner, Sr., of 5999 Emerson Street, Bladensburg, MD, departed this life on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Doctor’s Hospital, Lanham, MD.  Norman was the oldest of four children born to the late Alma and Ben Bonner on June 10, 1932 in Sutherland, VA.

 

Norman left Virginia at the age of 16 and loved the city life, so he made his home in the Washington, DC and Maryland Area.  He retired after many years as a Landscaper Supervisor with Burton Landscaping Company.

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Norman Howard Bonner, Jr. and Glen Bonner and brother-in-law, Melvin White.

 

Norman was a father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.  He leaves to cherish his memories:  three children, Allen Bonner (Tara), Sherry Richardson (Samuel) and Frances West; grandchildren, LaKia, LaTasha, Allen Jr, Laytoya, Generra, Alishia, Aaron, Sandrina, Glenn Jr, Sabrina, Tyrone, Rodney and LaShone; sister, Christine White of Petersburg, VA; brothers, Jerome Bonner (Pauline) of Petersburg, and Paul Bonner (Jean) of Washington, DC; mother of his children, Frances E. Bonner; aunt, Bertha Pryor; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Service for Mr. Norman H. Bonner, Sr. will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Va. Interment to follow at the Bonner Family Cemetery, Sutherland.The family will assemble one hour prior to the service at the funeral establishment.
