I was saddened to read of the loss of Eugene. I first met him around 1968/69. We danced many dances out at Northwoods when my husband played in the band. His daughter, Paula used to babysit my children. Eugene was a wonderful person, friendly and kind to all. I haven't seen him in a few years, but he would pop up in my memories every now and then. Eugene was one of my dad's friends. I grew up with him hanging with my dad. He was tough and rugged, but had a heart of gold for those he cared about. I baby sat his children when they were young, and I called him friend.
