Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss. Lil was my sister-in-law. Please know I’m thinking about you with love and sympathy. My mom and dad are buried at the same cemetery. ✝

So sorry for your loss. She was such a sweet and caring woman. She welcomed all the boys in the scouts and up Forrest Hills into her home with love and prayers.

Oma's Obituary

Oma Lou (Scalf) Williamson, 87, of Hardy, Pike County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at 6:30 PM at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 16, 1938, in Moree, Martin County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Oliver Aubrey and Edna (Maynard) Scalf. Oma Lou was a devout Christian whose deep faith touched everyone around her. Family and friends often joked that she had a direct "red phone line" to God's throne room. No matter the circumstance or where she was in the world, she always found a way to bring Jesus into the conversation. A deeply loving mother and grandmother, she was known throughout the communities where her family lived for her remarkable kindness, warmth, and generosity of spirit. She was also celebrated as the best cook around, delighting family and friends with her soup beans and cornbread, her beautiful multi-layered apple stack cake, and the legendary Boy Scout meals she and her husband made together.     On May 10, 1958, in Chattaroy, Mingo County, West Virginia, she married Willie Lee "Bill" Williamson (1929-1997), who preceded her in death. Their marriage was blessed with six children, seventeen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.     She is survived by her children: Cassandra Leigh Williamson (her children: Tim Alden Williamson, Natasha Warnick, Carra Freeman, and Jordan Williamson; 8 great-grandchildren); Gideon Dee Williamson III (his children: Gideon Dee Williamson IV, Devonna Paige Williamson, Sabrina Williamson, and Desirae Moses; 6 great-grandchildren); Tammy Lou Stanley (her children: Tim Stanley, Andrea Stanley, Debbie Stanley, and Anthony Stanley; 4 great-grandchildren); Edna Mae and Charlie Gillispie (her children: David Noel and Tyler Gillispie, Jeff and Crystal Little, Claudatte and Jeremy Pulley; and the late Crystal Noel; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 grandson on the way); Daniel Baden and Barb Williamson (his children: Brittany and Chris Nix, and Leah and Jacob Dahl); 1 great-grandchild;  and Irma Joyce Williamson, of the home.     In addition to her husband, Willie Lee Williamson she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Noel.    Oma Lou will be profoundly missed, but her legacy of faith, love, and family lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.     Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday December, 24, 2025, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home with James Justice officiating. The burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY.  The visitation will be held from 6 - 9 PM Tuesday December 23, 2025, at R.
