In times like these words are so inadequate. May you find a bit of comfort in knowing your loved one is now at peace and resting. His spirit lives on in your memories and in your hearts as well as in all the lives he touched. May you find peace in the days ahead.

“Someday-Some way – No one knows the day and no one knows the way” – (popularly quoted by Omer Goodman)
Omer Henry Goodman, SR. was born June 14, 1931 in Beaumont, Texas from the union of his late father and mother; Ozan B. Goodman and Teenie Jones Goodman. Mr. Goodman left this earth for his heavenly father Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at his home in Sparks, NV where he had resided since September 2021.
In 1946, Mr. Goodman graduated from Charlton Pollard High School. Prior to his retirement in 1989, after serving as Postmaster in Seabrook, Texas, he had spent many years as a letter carrier in Beaumont. After his postal retirement, he spent 25 years as a tax preparer/ IRS Enrolled Agent for H&R Block and finally ran his own tax business. He met and served a large number of friends and clients, many of them who continued communicating with him in Nevada.
He professed his faith in Christ at an early age and was a faithful member and deacon of Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Nevada, he rarely missed a Sunday church broadcast, remaining involved and helping steward the church until his death.
He was almost always up to a good adventure with travels taking him to Ireland, Scotland, France, and cruise destinations, as well as fishing and RV life while exploring the beauty of Alaska.
Very rarely meeting a stranger, people were always captivated by his stories and infectious smile. He enjoyed the friendships of a myriad of people from all walks of life.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, his wife of 59 years Juanita Mouton Goodman, daughter Debra Goodman, sisters Winold C. Goodman and Lois G. Martin, and brothers: O. B. Goodman, Harold C. Goodman, Sr., and Peter A. Goodman.
