Omer S. Mullet

Omer S. Mullet, age 82 of Etna Green, IN, died peacefully at home on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2025 at 8:45 am. Omer was born to Steven B. and Barbara (Chupp) Mullet on April 24, 1943 in Kosciusko County.  On November 26, 1964, Omer married Clara Yoder in Etna Green.  He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.  Omer is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Clara Mullet of Nappanee; 8 children, 5 sons: Merlin (Mary Lou) Mullet of Nappanee, Lamar (Carla) Mullet of Etna Green, Omer Lee (Karen) Mullet of Leesburg, Vernon (Rosetta) Mullet of Etna Green, and John Earl (Suzetta) Mullet of Etna Green, 3 daughters: Laura Jean (David) Hochstetler of Nappanee, Linda Mullet of Nappanee, and Norma (Jason) Slabaugh of Syracuse; 32 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 6 siblings, 2 brothers: Paul Mullet of Leesburg and Steven S. Mullet of Elkhart, 4 sisters: Ferne Mullet of Bremen, Carol Mullet of Bremen, Sue (John) Yoder of Nappanee and Rosemary Mullet of Bremen; and 1 sister-in-law, Mary Lou Mullet of Etna Green.  Omer was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Anthony Wayne Mullet; 2 brothers: Merlin Mullet and Allen S. Mullet; and 3 sisters-in-law: Anna Mae Mullet, Rosemary Mullet and Camy Mullet. Visitation will be held after 2 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025 and all day on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Duane Miller Residence (6697 W 800 N Nappanee, IN).  A funeral service will begin at 9:30 am on Sunday, November 23, 2025, also at the Duane Miller Residence.  Bishop Vernon Schmucker will officiate along with Home Ministries of the Old Order Amish Church.  Burial will take place in Graber Cemetery. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
