Ophia Hood Pope

Ophia Hood Pope, age 97, wife of 68 years to the late William Pope, passed away January 13, 2026, at her home in Lawrenceburg, KY. Born April 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Helm and Katie Hood. 

Ophia was a member of Alton Christian Church and a graduate of Kavanaugh High school. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going hunting & fishing with her late husband, William Pope.

Ophia is survived by her children, Joyce Cox (Frank) of Lawrenceburg and Deanna Parker of Franklin County.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Friday, January 16, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Bro. Noal Cotton Jr. will officiate the funeral service.
