Otis John "Otie-Boy" McCall Sr., 68, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, at his home.He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a member and trustee of Piney Branch Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Janet. Survivors include his children, Otis John Jr., Wayne D. and Jonathan L, all of Spotsylvania.; grandchildren Marcus J., Keyannah M., Mikayla D., Mason S. and Niyah J.; brothers Kenneth L. Sr. (Dorothy) of Gambrills, Md., and Richard L. Sr. (Daisy), Robert D. (Anita) and Ronald E., all of Spotsylnania; sisters Jacquelyn R., Gertrude E. (Lawrence) and M. Gelette McCall-Stallings, all of Spotsylvania, and Joyce A. (Charles) of Fredericksburg; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at A.L. Bennett and Son Funeral Home. A service will be held at noon Friday, Oct. 4, at Piney Branch Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, with the Rev. Dwight Michael officiating and the Rev. Michael Seward delivering the eulogy. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service.
