Pablo Astello

Pablo Astello, 75, entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2024, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He was born in Tula, Tamaulipas, Mexico on June 7, 1948, to Antonio Astello and Petra Castillo.

Mr. Astello was a loyal, hardworking man, as proven by his 30 years of service to Hino Gas Co., before retiring in 2018. Pablo was a breath of fresh air, intent on having a good time wherever he went. He had a passion for music and would take any chance he could to break out his accordion and sing his favorite corridos conjunto.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Maria del Pilar Astello, who will hold his memory close to her heart forever. His love for music and joy for life will live on in his five children, Salvador (Maria del Rosario) Astello, Luis Javier Astello, Maria Guadalupe (Jaime) Astello Vela, Malu (Aaron Ramos) Astello, and Pablo Astello Jr.; fourteen grandchildren, Francisco Jimenez Astello, Sky Astello, Wesley Astello, Eduardo Javier Jimenez, Andrew Astello, Nicole Astello, Amanda Astello, Marvin Astello, Jaime Vela Jr., Adrian Vela, Brian Vela, Jomar Vela, Alexa Jade Ramos, and Noah Jude Ramos; seven great-grandchildren, Evangeline Mavis Vela, Eloise Collette Vela, Ivan Vela, Alexsandra Cardenas, Xolani Astello, Anaya Astello, and Luciano Astello. His childhood will live on in the memories of his eight siblings, Matias (Francisca Guevara) Astello, Reymundo (Ofelia Abundiz) Astello, Felicita Astello, Severino Astello, Antonio Astello, Idolina Astello, Hermelinda Astello, and Maria Guadalupe Astello. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary and prayer service taking place at 6:00 p.m., conducted by Juan Jasso at Trinity Funeral Chapel.

Cremation will take place at Val Verde Crematory in Donna, Texas.
