Not sure what to say?

Pam was a full of life kind of person. She was always busy with ceasing the day. I enjoyed our time together, gardening, scrapbooking or just talking. I could always count on her as my neighbor, but more than that my friend. She had wisdom to share with a younger woman like me. She was truly a blessing.

What an inspiration and light within my life and I am positive in many others! Even after I moved from Anadarko, she continued to offer me words of encouragement and stay in touch. She was a go getter and so caring of others. She lived a life of faith that certainly showed in the way she lived her life. She will be missed!

Pam, was a lovely, kind lady. She will be missed. Condolences to the family from ours.

Marty, Paula, Jennifer, Kelsey, and Matt Im soo sorry for your loss, words will never take the pain away but my heart, prayers, and support are with you guys. I love you all! ❤

Wonderful lady, beautiful person! You will be missed here, but we celebrate your deliverance from illness.

Paula and family, very sorry for your loss. You are in Cleo and I's prayers.

So sorry for your loss. Pam was a wonderful lady who was always there to listen with a sympathetic ear when needed. She helped so many at CKVT one person being myself. Thank you Pam for everything. Fly high sweet angel

Our deepest sympathy to your family. May your sweet memories provide you comfort.

We loved her zest for life, her love of God and neighbor and her opinions. She talked directly about her preferences and when she shared a position or belief, not only had she thought through the implications, she had lived through them.

Pam's Obituary

Longtime Anadarko resident, Pam McEachern, age 64 of Sand Springs, entered Heaven’s Gates Saturday, January 12, 2019. Pamela Jean McCray was born June 21, 1954 in Cherokee, OK. Her parents were Elmer Ray and Hattie Joan (Wallenstein) McCray. As a young girl, Pam lost her father, and yet gained another when her mother remarried a Pastor. They moved around a bit, living in Hammond and Okeene, and she finished high school in Tipton. She then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. Pam was a proud mother to daughter, Melissa and son, Brandon and they first made their home in El Reno. Pam began working in a child care center and returned to school at Rose State College where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development. She and the kids moved to Anadarko in the summer of 1989 when Pam started working as a Vocational Counselor at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center. She loved helping people find their way in life and helped so many attain their educational goals. She returned to SWOSU, earning her Masters of Education Degree in 1993. She was fiercely independent, determined, a positive influence and a great teacher and counselor. She instilled this in her children and in her students, and these qualities served her well in her life journey. Pam was a woman of great faith and she lived her life to reflect it every day. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Anadarko, the United Methodist Women and she served in many capacities. She loved family get togethers and playing pitch for hours, scrapbooking, cooking and gardening. She loved hiking, was always up for a challenge and she never missed an opportunity to go rock climbing in the Wichitas. She believed she could do anything and she helped those around her to believe it for themselves. For the last 25 years, Pam has testified to her faith, as she faced cancer multiple times. In 2015 she retired from CKTC and moved to Sand Springs to be closer to her daughter Melissa and most importantly her granddaughter Ava. She was a wonderful mother and the best Grammie Pammie. She will be dearly missed!
