Pamela's Obituary

Pamela Deese Medlin, 64 years of age, of Indian Trail, NC went to be the Lord on Thursday, April 27, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.Pam was born July 12, 1952 in Concord, NC. She was preceded in death by her loving parents L.C. "Kent" Deese, Ruth Wilene Hudson Deese and Grace Elmore Love Deese. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mike Medlin; daughter Melissa Medlin Wright and husband Tyler; daughter Wendy Medlin Smith and husband Tony; and granddaughter Emma Wells. Pam put 42 years of heart and soul into teaching children in Union County. She recently retired from Porter Ridge High School and was looking forward to traveling with her family. Pam enjoyed spending time at Lake Waccamaw reading books and surrounded by her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. A celebration of Pam's life will be on Sunday, April 30th at 3:30pm at Lakeview Baptist Church in Monroe, officiated by Rev. Steve Jirgal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society.Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Medlin family.
