Not sure what to say?

The first time I knew of Pat, was when I passed him in the hallway at Grace in 4th grade, pretty blue eyes, long lashes, and a funny walk also a little bit of an odd duck. Funny how thing don’t change after 57 yrs. We reconnected at Grace, after service and discovered we had much in common, especially a great love of and for music. We had a few really happy years together, and I have lots of sweet memories. Thank you for being who you were, that odd duck but sweet, kind and loving.

Condolences to the Scala family. Pat and I did a lot of business luncheons and dinners as we tried to introduce the Italian beef into fast food businesses outside Chicago. Our families spent some vacation times together as well as holidays. We were on a cruse together playing basketball against Pat Boone and won. Wonderful times.
He was a hard worker always willing to give of his time and resources. He will be missed. Rest in Peace old friend.

Pat was one of the finest men I had the pleasure of meeting. Always enjoyable to be in his company, for as much as he acquired and his success in business, he never had an ego problem. He was a gentle man with an infectious smile and laugh. Rest in peace, Pat.

Love to the family.
With many memories of high school, Valpo, the Cubs, music, and spending time together during returns to Chicago. Bob and I had lots of good times with Pat, even several visits during his nursing home days.
Peace to you and Bob. Missing you both.

It was an absolute honor to do business with Pat all those years on Orleans and we couldn't have been more proud to call Pat Scala our customer. On behalf of all of us past and present in the Fulton Market please accept our sincere condolences during this difficult time. The Pastorelli Family

My deepest condolences to his family. Sending prayers.

My memories of school days at Grace and Walther always include Pat. He was such a kind, soft spoken gentleman and a stellar athlete. Deepest condolences to his family. RIP, dear friend.

I went to school with Pat at Grace. I was a year behind him. Also played baseball with him at Amundsen Park Pony League.

Pat was like my fourth brother who lived across the street in Galewood. Great guy, and athlete who expanded the family beef business. Lover of music and mankind. Phil Parenti
