Patricia's Obituary

In Loving Memory of Patricia A. BartkusOctober 3, 1954 – February 23, 2026

Patricia A. “Patti” Bartkus, 71, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.

Born on October 3, 1954, Patti lived a life rooted in faith, devotion, and fierce love for her family. She was a woman of strong spirit and warm heart, someone who spoke her mind, stood by her beliefs, and loved deeply.

She is survived by her only child, Tonya L. Hemenway and Tonya’s boyfriend, Mike Ridall; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Michael Bartkus and his spouse Kelly; her sister Roseann Webster and her spouse Steve; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eileen Bartkus; her grandparents, Esther and Paul Banko; and her brothers, Joseph Bartkus Jr. and Stephen Bartkus.

Patti held deep appreciation for the people who walked alongside her in life. Special heartfelt gratitude is extended to Deacon Gregory and Ellen Amarante and their beloved family; to Deacon Richard Owen for his steadfast wisdom and comforting guidance; and to Dave and Terry Zelner, and Rick and Terri Ross — friendships that meant the world to her. She was blessed with many other dear friends over the years who shared in her journey.

A service to celebrate Patti’s life will be held on March 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at 809 Broadway Street, Milton, PA. Interment will follow at Holy Name of Mary Cemetery in Montrose, PA, at a later date, where family and friends are welcome to gather.

In lieu of flowers, Patti requested live plants — something lasting and full of life, just as she preferred — rather than cut flowers that would fade.

Patti’s legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the faith she carried, and the friendships she nurtured.
