Not sure what to say?

Dearest Terry & Dorcus, my heart goes out to you and the family over the loss of your Mom. I just found she had passed as I was searching for friends for our 50th class reunion for LCHS & Mayfield. I remember her from sleepovers at your home when we all attended Immaculate Heart of Mary in the 60's. She was kind & generous & so very patient. I loved going to your house. Sending love & blessings to all.

We were a formidable crew at the Department of Human Services...back in the day...so many gone...now, Pat...Hearts & Thoughts to Her Family...

Susan McIver...

My condolences to the family. Your Mom was a real trooper and will be missed by all. May she rest in peace.

Dorcas and Family, I'm so sorry for your loss. May God be with you.

We're so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. You are in our thoughts, Dorcas.

Clara and I send our condolences. Clara swam with your mother and got to know her.

My condolences to all of the Duttles. My earliest memory of Mrs. Duttle was a Los Pastores performance when I heard that voice filling that church with such beautiful sounds. Her voice fills a much bigger place now.

My deepest sympathies to her family. I remember her as a kind and gentle lady and had the respect of many. Rest in peace with our Lord and Savior.

PATRICIA “PAT” DUTTLE, 87, died of complications due to Alzheimer’s disease on February 22, 2016. Mrs. Duttle was born in New York in 1928. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Bertram; brother, Richard; daughter, Barbara Meyer; sons, Richard, James and Gary Duttle; and George Duttle. She is survived by daughters, Dorcas, Theresa, Frances, Mary, and Sharon; sons, John, Timothy, Thomas, and Anthony; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, Alicia and Janet, and nephew, Richard.

Raised in Massachusetts, Pat married early and became a Navy wife, living on Bainbridge Island, San Francisco, and Kailua, Hawaii, all the while caring for a growing family. In 1954 the Duttle family settled in Las Cruces. When her youngest child entered kindergarten, Pat promptly enrolled in college for the 1st time and after graduating from New Mexico State University, began her professional career as a social worker with the NM Dept. of Human Services where she worked from 1976 – 1991. Pat was a champion of those who were vulnerable and unable to fend for themselves.

Pat was fluent in French, Latin and Spanish. She was artistic in many ways. One of her true passions was singing. She loved to sing and performed with a group of dear friends in the annual Passion Play Los Pastores. She also sang with numerous other groups. Pat shared her love of the outdoors with her children, often packing an available vehicle with gear and kids to go camping in the Gila Wilderness.   Pat was a gentle woman with a good heart and strong will, who worked hard raising 13 children; had a close knit group of friends; tended a beautiful garden; loved social gatherings and lived a full life. Her smile, spirit and wit will be dearly missed.
