Not sure what to say?

Dear Gary and family,

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Patty, one of the most unique and joyful souls I have ever known. Her spirit and laughter touched everyone around her, and I can only imagine the weight of this loss for you. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time, and I hope you find comfort in the love and peace that now surrounds Patty in her eternal rest. May those cherished memories and the love of those around you bring you...

Patricia's Obituary

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Patricia Ann Fonzi, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Patty was born in Youngstown, Ohio, to Dominic and Laura Perry. Her family's Italian heritage and their deep roots in Youngstown were a source of pride for her throughout her life. She often spoke fondly of her hometown, carrying the spirit of Youngstown with her wherever she went. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic and Laura Perry, and her brother-in-law, James Parks. She leaves behind her husband, Gary; her children, Daniel and Elizabeth (Michael) Keane; her sisters, Carla (Paul) Evanoff and Theresa Parks; and her brothers, Dominic (Peggy) Perry and Anthony (Gail) Perry.

Patty found immense joy and purpose in caring for her family. In 1985 she met Gary, her loving husband of 38 years, serendipitously on the streets of Chicago. She joined Gary in California where she was warmly embraced by the Fonzi's, finding a shared bond in their Italian lineage, which became a treasured source of connection. Together, Patty and Gary lovingly nurtured two extraordinary children, exemplifying a loyal partnership. She cherished moments spent with her loved ones and she was an adoring grandmother to her sweet granddaughter, Lily Patricia Keane.

To those who knew her, Patty was a confidant and friend — someone who embraced not only her own children but also their friends, offering advice, support and a warm presence. Cooking was one of the many ways she expressed her love, filling her home with comforting scents. Her family was the foundation of her life.

Patty's vibrant, spirited nature left a lasting impact on those she encountered, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

In lieu of flowers, donations, or gifts, the family kindly asks that you keep Patty and her family in your hearts.

Private funeral services will be held for close family members.
