Patricia Heady, 82, of Novato, California, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 29, 2026, just days after celebrating her 82nd birthday. Born in Orange, New Jersey, Patricia's life journey took her across the globe, attending schools in Germany and graduating High School in Japan before completing her education at College of Marin with her Registered Nursing Degree.
For over four decades, Patricia served as God's healing hands through her nursing career. She dedicated herself as a Registered Nurse, rising to head the intensive care unit before transitioning to occupational health at Mare Island Naval Ship Yard, Concord Naval Weapons Station, and the Occupational Home Care. Her compassionate spirit touched countless lives through her healing as a nursing.
Raised in the Catholic faith, Patricia was the spiritual cornerstone of her family, nurturing a deep and abiding relationship with the Lord. Her legacy lives on through cherished family camping adventures, legendary fried chicken and lasagna that drew family, neighborhood friends, and her son's friends to her table, and her beloved family motto born from a cave tour adventure: "Go on without me" – words that perfectly captured her wonderful, encouraging heart.
Patricia loved her two boys more than anything in this world. While she faced hard times, she was always there for them. Being with family meant everything to Patricia. One of her greatest joys was becoming a grandmother. She was able to do so many things with her granddaughter that they both talked about for years. On hot days they enjoyed sitting in the kiddie pool. Getting a treat like ice cream was always special to her, and her granddaughter.
Patricia is survived by sons James (Debbie) and Paul (Tawnya), and granddaughter Jenna. She was preceded in death by parents Albert and Elizabeth.
Services will be held at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park, Sebastopol, California, where she will find her eternal peace in God's embrace.
