Patricia Ann Zachary, age 72, of Jonesboro, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. She was born on March 21, 1953, in Helena to James Lois and Willie Franklin Turner.
Patricia attended Marvell Public Schools and later furthered her education at UAPB & PCCC. She began her career at Davidson's General Store before transitioning to serve as a waitress at Golden Corral. Patricia found her true calling in education, becoming a teacher at Marianna School District. Her passion for helping others led her to work at First Judicial Victims Advocates, where she impacted countless lives in six counties by providing support to women who were victims of crime and domestic violence.
A woman of faith, Patricia was baptized at a young age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and later attended First Baptist Church in Memphis. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as watching and playing along with Jeopardy and Family Feud, playing Scrabble, and most importantly, spending quality time with her grandchildren.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Franklin and James Lois Turner; great-grandchild, Dec-Aiya; brother, Felix Turner; and sisters, Shirley, Alma, Velma, and Bernice.
She is survived by her son, Cleveland (Andrea) Zachary of Poplar Grove; daughter, Adrienne (Vonnell) Zachary of Jonesboro; 11 beloved grandchildren, Alexis, Adajae, Andre, Arnell, Jayce, Lemetrius, Ebiance, Shakira, Trevon, Dylan, and Pharrah; 12 treasured great-grandchildren; brothers, Winston Turner of Marvell, Martin (Joyce) Turner of Indiana, Albert Turner of Memphis, Willie (Beveryly) Turner of Memphis, Kenneth Thomas, Jerome Lewis, and Douglas Thomas; sisters, Doris (Cassell) Brown of Memphis and Valerie Hayden of Seattle, Washington; and the father of her children, Victor Zachary.
Patricia’s life was marked by her deep love for her family, her unwavering faith, and her commitment to serving others. While we mourn the loss of Patricia, her legacy will continue to inspire all who knew her.
