Courtney, Patrick, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022, at the age of 58.
Beloved Husband of Lori (nee Pemberton); Father of Megan Courtney and Ryan Courtney; Son of the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Courtney; Brother of Gilbert, Mark, Matthew, and Timothy (Kimberly) Courtney and the late Kathryn; Dear Son-In-Law, Brother-In-Law, Nephew, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend to many.
Patrick was a hard-working, loving father of two children and was very family-oriented. He married his high school sweetheart, Lori, and they went on to have two children, Megan and Ryan, who were his pride and joy, and the subject of almost every conversation he had. Family was his number one priority, and he always went above and beyond, sometimes even out of his way, to help them in times of need. Patrick had a heart of gold and made friends everywhere he went. There was not one person that was a stranger to him. In his free time, he enjoyed watching shows such as MASH, The Andy Griffith Show, and Gomer Pyle. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals, never missing the games when they were on television. Patrick spoke frequently about Branson, MO, and the family took many trips there over the years. The last trip they took together as a family was to Orlando, FL to Walt Disney World, and it will be forever cherished.

What a great guy.
Knowing the family forever, Patrick never changed who he was.
Always had a smile, especially for Lorie
Knowing you has been an honor Patrick
Nervous but determined, Pat ask his sister Cathy ,Denise & I to deliver flowers to Lorie.
If only he could have seen her smile when she said yes.
It is an awesome memory to have
True love

Though I did not know him, I talked with Megan about him and he seemed like a great dad. I can't imagine what you are all experiencing right now and have experienced over the last year. I'm so sorry for your loss. Wishing everyone love and peace during these times.

I am so heartbroken about his passing. Without knowing it, he was a very influential person in my life. I am so thankful that his daughter Megan and I became best friends so I was able to get to know him and grow up around him. I will always cherish the family dinners I was taken to with the Courtney’s, the countless conversations in their living room with Pat, and him always jokingly telling me to take one of their dogs home with me every time I left their house. The last year has been strange, to say the least, but even more strange has been walking into their house and not hearing “Hey, Mady!” from the living room. I know I definitely thought I would get many more of those “Hey, Mady!”’s. I will forever be thankful I was able to go see him last Sunday. He was able to mouth my name and got to find out I’m getting married, which he was surprised and happy about. I take peace in knowing he is no longer suffering. He will forever be missed.
