Captain Muldoon was the CO on the Nashville, when I made Chief, back in 1989. It was an honor to serve under him. He was a great CO.

Pat Muldoon was one of those rare men who lived his life with honor, quiet dignity, decency and service to the country he so deeply loved. Most importantly he loved his family with fierceness and pride.
He had a great sense of humor and ease with a good story. He will be very much missed however for those who knew him well, he made our lives full of good memories and joy

Bravo Zulu, sir! Your policing for infractions on the back hall of NSA is still an inspiration some 20 years later, and a cherished memory of the discipline you endeavored to instill in us hooligans. Condolences to the Muldoon family.

Fair winds and following seas, Cap'n. Thank you for your example of calm cool professionalism in the face of adversity. Some 30 years later I still strive every day to emulate your example. You will be missed, Sir.

Ryan and family, sending our love and support from New York. I feel honored to have been welcomed in by your family for your wedding more than two decades ago. Always loved the conversations with your father. Seeing all these notes from all over the country are inspiring and amazing how many lives he touched.

Dear Kate and Family, we extend our deepest and heartfelt Sympathies to you; Pat was more than a friend he was also Bill's Mentor and a Role-model for being a Commanding Officer. Our thoughts and prayers to all Pat’s family. As a LTJG on the USS Tuscaloosa LST 1187, Pat was my Department Head and mentored me through several WESTPAC tours, including Vietnam. He was a great leader and teacher. It was a privilege to serve with him.
