Patsy June Henson

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Patsy June Henson, 85, who went to heaven on February 9, 2026.  

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home.

Patsy was born on June 14, 1940. She attended Wichita Falls High School and went on to build a life centered around love, family, and hard work. On October 11, 1957, she married the love of her life, Danny Joe Henson, and together they built a strong family and lasting legacy.

Patsy and her late husband Danny started and owned Henson Salvage for over 55 years, becoming known for their dedication and great work ethic. Patsy was a devoted homemaker who raised not only her own children, but also helped raise her grandchildren. She always made sure everyone felt loved, safe, and cared for.

Patsy was a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. 

Patsy enjoyed life’s simple joys. She loved bowling, working crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune, going to thrift auctions, and collecting antiques. She was known for her sweet tea and her fried potatoes, and for making a house feel like home.

She was an amazing mama and nanny. She had a special gift for listening, you could talk to her about anything and know it would go no further. She was wise, strong, and deeply loved by all who knew her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mildred Fowler; her husband, Danny Joe Henson; son, Danny Michael Henson.

She is survived by her daughters; Peggy Long of Wichita Falls, Rebecca Henson of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Clayton Bolf, Cody Bolf, Daniel Henson, Dalaney Henson, Lacy Owen, and Benny Reese Long Jr.; six great-grandchildren; three bonus great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Patsy will be missed beyond words and loved forever.
