Patty was born on February 23rd, 1958 in Appleton, MN to Sidney and Janice Haugen. Patty's Obituary
Patty Ashling, 57, of Kerkhoven, died Friday, October 2nd at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Her funeral will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, October 6th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Patty was born on February 23rd, 1958 in Appleton, MN, to Sidney and Janice (Arndt) Haugen. She was baptized on March 9th, 1958 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Appleton, MN, and confirmed on May 27th, 1973 at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church in Chokio, MN. She attended school at Chokio-Alberta and graduated from Morris High school in 1976. Patty was married on September 24th, 1983 to Webb Ashling in Dawson, MN, and they moved to Kerkhoven in 1992. She was employed by Wal-Mart in Willmar, MN for 25 years, where she held many different positions and was beloved by her co-workers. She loved spending time with grandchildren and family. Her hobbies included gardening, crafting, camping and traveling with her husband Webb, playing games, and she had a love for animals and music. She was a hard worker and loved her family above all else, and we are all so blessed to have known and loved her.Patty is survived by her father, Sidney Haugen of Dawson; husband, Webb Ashling of Kerkhoven; son, Jesse (and Angela) Ashling of Montevideo; and daughter, Megan Ashling of Kerkhoven; grandchildren, Jada and Devin. Also surviving are her sisters: Peggy (Paul) Hill of Dawson, Pamela (Robert) Boraas of Benson, and Paula (Mike) Olson of St. Cloud, and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven and mother, Janice.
