Paul's Obituary

PAUL EARL AGEE, JR., 72, of Bland, VA, passed away Friday, March 15, 2019 at Wythe County Community Hospital. He was born April 14, 1946 at Bland, VA, the son of the late Paul, Sr. & Dorothy Blankenship Agee. 

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt. He was actively involved in his community of Bastain and enjoyed helping his neighbors. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Mark Martin fan. He was a hard worker and had worked over ten years in the coal mines, had helped his brother as a roofer, was a previous lineman in Northern VA and retired from Branch Highways as a heavy equipment operator.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Cleveland Agee and two sisters, Marsha Jessee and Barbara Tyeryar.

Left to cherish his memory are his son & daughter-in-law, James Paul & Amanda Agee; his daughter & son-in-law, Detria & Lonnie Thomas; his grandchildren, Tynley, Everley, Austin, Alex, Asha, Dakota and Shiloh; his brother & sister-in-law, Jack & Brenda Agee; sisters & brother-in-law, Brenda & Terry Parker and Kathy Agee; special niece and nephew, Angie Davis and JP Parker; several special cousins and friends, too many to list.

Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Rev. Danny Shortridge officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until service time, 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Morning Star Cemetery.
