Not sure what to say?

My sincere condolences for your loss. As you endure this difficult time of sorrow, please turn to the Most High God for comfort as his word assures us at Jeremiah 29:12,13 "you will call me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you."

May our heavenly father wrap his loving arms around you and give you peace and comfort.

Anita, David, and family: Old neighbors, the Hansen's, sending our sympathies to you. Paul and Harriet were my patients at different times and I enjoyed receiving their happy marriage advice... for Pam Hansen. We are currently staying the winter in Florida near to Janet and Duey Rettke. Won't rub it in but it gets warm in the afternoons. Sorry for your loss. Dwight's folks and your parents can now watch us all from their heavenly seats.

Oscar and Olga (Carlson) Honnette on the family farm in Lake Fremont Township in Martin County, Minn.  In 1937, he completed Eighth Grade in the Dunnell Public School.  He then attended Sherburn High School, graduating with the Class of 1941.  He was inducted into the United States Army on September 19, 1946, serving in Japan until his honorable discharge on May 27, 1947.  He returned to Lake Fremont Township, and started farming.   On July 9, 1949, he was united in marriage to Harriet Mostrom at the First Covenant Church in Minneapolis, Minn.  The couple enjoyed farming near the Honnette homestead in Dunnell, Minn. The family later moved to Trimont and farmed the Carlson homestead and other farmland in the area.  The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July, 2009. While committed to his farming operation, he used his gift of song for countless special gatherings—singing solos, duets and other ensembles, beginning with youth programs in church and a men’s quartet in high school.  In the 1950’s, he sang solos and duets with his wife over the radio broadcasts of KSUM and WNAX.  His interests continued to evolve into producing reel-to-reel recordings of church programs and community events, including the broadcasting of Covenant Chapel Time and United Christian Brotherhood.  The couple sang with the Chicago Choral Society in the beautiful cathedrals of Europe while on tour in 1980.  He was a life-long member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Trimont. Thankful for having shared his life are his children, son David and his wife Gail of Trimont, Minn., daughter Anita and her husband Daniel of Apple Valley, Minn., three grandchildren—Aaron and his wife Lynn and great grandchild Anna of Greenville, South Carolina, Shane of Faribault, Minn., and Shaun of Trimont, Minn.  Left to also cherish his memory are his sisters-in-law Ruth Honnette Winstedt of CA, Vivian Olson of SD and Naomi Chelstrom of MN, several nephews, nieces and other relatives here and in Sweden. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, Harry and Evodia Mostrom, brothers Robert and Melvin, sister Arlene Croudy, brothers-in-law Bill Croudy, Wayne Chelstrom, Elmer Mostrom, Leonard Olson, and sister-in-law LaVerne Honnette.
