Paul Irving's Obituary

PERRY-Paul Irving Vianey, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201, or flowers will be gratefully accepted. Mr. Vianey was born in Boston. He received a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. Having lived in Middle Georgia over 37 years, Mr. Vianey was a Mechanical Engineer at Proctor & Gamble for 23 years and at Weyerhauser for 7 years. He loved old cars and was a member of several Antique Car Clubs. He loved fishing and also spent time woodworking, making things for friends and family that they will cherish forever. Mr. Vianey was preceded in death by his parents, Lucien and Barbara Newcomb Vianey; and his birth mother, Louise LoGuidice, whom he located later in life and with whom he shared good memories. Left to cherish the memories of Paul are his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Judy Amberg Vianey; his children, Stephanie Smith of Augusta, Christina Smith (Douglas) of Perry, and Andrew Vianey (Susan) of Lawrenceville; his brother, Noel Vianey of New Hampshire; his sister, Joyce Robinson (Bill) of Maine; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members including Mark LoGuidice and Mary Martel.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
