Paul James "Jim" Dougherty

Jim and I worked at the central office administration of the Las Cruces Public Schools for many years, but I came to know him better at our coffee gatherings at the Old Town cafe and luncheon "pilgrimages" to Chope's. His dry humor and witty remarks about people and the world in general, betrayed his usual quiet and reserved demeanor. I will miss him, and will remember him as a friend, when I most needed one. Rest in peace, my brother of the 'Red, Red Rose.'
