We miss you Dad. Happy Father's Day

In June of 1974, I was hired by Gulf Oil as a geophysicist in training (EB Program) an met Paul on one of the first days on the job. I was impressed with that first introduction and always appreciated the way he treated all the staff, even when we were young, making mistakes and needing some guiding, He was first rate. My only regret is not knowing he was in the area (Schulenburg - Weimar) so I could have visited with him.

Something made me Google Paul's name today, leading me to this very recent obit.

Back in the late 70's when Paul was with Gulf Oil R&D, I was a 19yo kid working at a Radio Shack store in Rosenberg. Paul came into my store, saw me writing a biorhytm program on the TRS-80 (Radio Shack's first retail computer), asked me about it, then hired me *on the spot* to come work for Gulf Oil in his dept. I would soon learn advanced programming languages.

This is a story I've told...

We were so saddened to hear of your loss. I was honored to work for Paul at CenterLine Geophysical and valued him as a friend. He was an outstanding Christian man who walked the walk. He had a very positive effect on my life. All our thoughts and prayers are with you.
