Not sure what to say?

Paul was a great mentor during my probation at station #11 in 1978. I still remember that fateful night in 79 with Paul and Keith Rollins hitting that tree on I.96 E/B at Zimmer Road. We all thought he was going to die that night, but he made it through to live a full and exuberant life. Good man, whom I will miss until we meet again in heaven. God Bless You Paul. John Matchulat

Paul was a genuine good person. I will always remember what he did for me. My father was in the hospital a very long time ago. I flew a small plane up north to see him. When I arrived, I called the post to see if there was anyone around that could give me a ride to the hospital. Paul showed up and handed me the keys to his own car and said, take it for as long as you need. That's the kind of person that Paul Was.

My heart is so heavy with the loss of Paul, my cousin. I grieve for his wife Pamela, his children and grandchildren. Gone to soon, as his beautiful wife, Pam expressed, her only joy in this horrendous situation is.."Paul will be running into the arms of his beloved Father David, as he has misssed him for the last 61 years." Praise Jesus, Paul is out of pain and lives in Heavenly Peace. God Bless his family, and Dear friends, in the difficult days to come. With deepest Sympathy, Brenda Sue...

David,
I am so sorry. There is no easy way to grieve the loss of a parent. Knowing the man you are, your Dad must have been a phenomenal father. I pray you find comfort and peace in the days ahead.

I am so sorry to hear of what Paul went through. He was such a pillar of strength when I knew him. May God be with the family during this time of transition.

Pam and family, so sorry to see this. We really enjoyed knowing you through our church here in Frankenmuth and school activities with the kids. May the happy memories with Paul carry you through this time of sadness. Our prayers are with your family.

Paul was a wonderful coworker and friend. He led the rebuild of our church after it was destroyed by Hurricane Charley. I will be forever grateful to Pam and Paul's efforts!
