Paul Lee Whisnant

My deepest condolences Dana and Trey. Paul was a very special man who was always kind and welcoming. He will certainly be missed.

Paul will be dearly missed by his G76 neighbors. We thought so much of him and enjoyed visiting with him at VCC.

Paul married my sister Phyllis in Rowan County when I was 3 years old. I grew up with him, he taught me how to use a throw net, put eyes & tips on fishing rods. He taught me how to shoot a .357 pistol, a shotgun & a deer rifle with a scope. He watched me grow up, & was there for me many times over my years. When I moved back from the mountains after 12 years there, we reconnected & I would take him country ham from the Piggly Wiggly in Burgaw, & we'd sit & talk for sometimes upward of 2...

I am so sorry Dana. Your Dad gave me my first job at The Beach Shop. He taught me so much. He was patient and kind and loved to talk about flying! I know you'll miss him. Hugs to you and your family.
