Paul A. “Goose” Williams, 78 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away March 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born February 2, 1943 in Edinburgh, Indiana. He was the son of Cleveland and Dorothy (Thurman) Williams. He married Carolyn (Nuby) Williams and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Avery (Rachell) Williams of McCordsville, Indiana, daughters, Jeralyn Nuby of Edinburgh, Indiana and Dawn Thomas of Austin, Texas, grandchildren, Avery Williams, Jr. and Madison Sellers, and brother, Dorcie Williams of Columbus, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ernes Beatty, Cleveland Williams, Jr, and Phillip Anthony Williams, and sister, Anna Jane Brantley.
Goose was an Edinburgh High School graduate. He enjoyed playing high school sports and was later inducted into Edinburgh’s high school’s “Hall Of Fame”. He served in the US Navy from 1961–1965. He retired from Rockwell International after 43 years of service.
Being a Ham Radio operator, he enjoyed talking to people world-wide. He also enjoyed all sports, coaching Bantam football, fishing, and role playing for the military at Atterbury and Muscatatuck.
A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Nathaniel Hankerson at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
