My heart is so heavy for your loss she was an amazing young lady, I worked with her many years ago we had a ball she kept everyone in the office laughing she will be missed by all but Heaven certainly gained a beautiful, loving Angel....She will never suffer anymore by for now Paula until we meet again..I love You Dearly

This is a sad day, we lost a friend but we know she is at rest and we find some comfort knowing she won't suffer any more. All the family has our deepest sympathies and prayers.

Paula's Obituary

Mrs. Paula Jackson Dodd, 56 of Calhoun, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Murray County, GA on December 24, 1959, daughter of Hubert and Hazel Silvers Jackson.Paula had served as Director of Admissions at Gordon Hospital for 15 years prior to her retirement. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sons, Bryce Dodd, Grant Dodd, and Alex Dodd, all of Calhoun; a grandchild, Aria Dodd of Calhoun; her brother, Douglas Jackson and his wife Sharon of Abingdon, VA; nephew, Eric Jackson and his wife Catherine of Chesapeake,VA; great niece, Charlotte Jackson and a great nephew Thomas Jackson both of Chesapeake, VA., and a host of cousins and other relatives. Services to honor the life of Mrs. Paula Jackson Dodd will be held Monday, June 13th at 4:00 PM from Calhoun First Apostolic Ministries, 712 New Town Church Road, Calhoun. Entombment will follow at a later date in Fain Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, June 12th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The family ask that flowers be omitted at Paula's request.Condolences may be left at www.maxbrannonandsons.com.
