Pearl M. Wenhold, formerly of Sellersville, Silverdale and Perkasie, PA, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the Masonic Village at Warminster, Warminster, PA. She was 95.
She was the loving wife of the late Richard H. Wenhold until his passing on January 26, 1987.
Born in Almont (West Rockhill Twp.), PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Hartzell) Nase. She attained her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from the Upper Bucks Vocational-Technical School, Perkasie, in 1969.
Mrs. Wenhold was employed as a machine operator for Thyrocon, Inc., Telford, PA, for eight years until retiring in 1979. Previously, she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., PA.
She was a member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sellersville.
A 65+-year member and Past Matron of Lenape Chapter, No. 339 Order of the Eastern Star, Quakertown, PA, she had also been active with the Lehigh Consistory Auxiliary, Allentown, PA, over the years.
Mrs. Wenhold was a member of the Nase-Kraft American Legion Post No. 255 Auxiliary, Sellersville. A sewing enthusiast, she loved reading, especially her Bible, and listening to gospel music. While a resident at the Masonic Village, she enjoyed playing bingo at the bingo parties and her role as Mrs. Santa Claus during the holiday season.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Carl Wenhold, of Washington State, and Jennifer Jones, of Montana; six great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and her closest friend, Joan Hollenbach, of Perkasie. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter, Clarence, Warren and Willard Nase, and two sisters, Ruth Souder and Arlene Tasker.
Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Suess-Gahman Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with an Eastern Star Service scheduled for 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery, Sellersville, PA.
