Not sure what to say?

When Pete first came to work at HST, I’ll never forget that first impression—he reminded me of the Chicago neighborhood guys I grew up with. That familiar feeling, that sense of trust and kinship, it was there right away. From that moment, I knew I was going to like Pete.

And I did. I enjoyed his company, his conversations, his presence. He was the kind of man you wanted around—not just because he was a hard worker, though he was, but because he was steady, reliable, and true. Pete...

Rest in peace brother.

Dear Peter,
To many memories and conversations to list, may you soar high among the Angels and be comforted in the loving arms of God. I love you and a piece of my heart you have taken with you, kiss Mommy and Daddy for me love you brother always.

Carolyn.

Peter's Obituary

Peter L. ToscanoNovember 18, 1969 – August 16, 2025

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Peter Lawrence Toscano on Saturday, August 16, 2025. Born on November 18, 1969, in Montclair, New Jersey, Peter spent his formative years in Bloomfield, where he held fond memories with his family.

Growing up on Collins Avenue alongside his two brothers and four sisters, Peter’s early years were filled with the cherished chaos of a close-knit family. His passion for baseball sparked at a young age, with his father proudly coaching him through Little League and his mother cheering from the sidelines, never missing a game. While he played the outfield with skill, Peter's real talent—and heart—shone through behind the plate.

Peter attended Immaculate Conception High School and later played collegiate baseball at Ramapo College, continuing his dedication to the sport he loved. A proud member of a Red Sox household, Peter's loyalty to the team was unwavering—cheering them on through every season, often with family by his side.

He began his career with PSE&G, where he worked for over 30 years. More than just a job, it was a place where he built enduring friendships.

Peter lived a life rich in passions—baseball, golf, horse racing, and traveling were among his favorites—but above all, his heart belonged to his daughter, Demi. She was the center of his world. Together, they explored the country, creating unforgettable memories that she will carry with her always.

Peter was predeceased by his beloved parents, Peter M. Toscano and Grace D. Toscano. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Demitria “Demi” Toscano, and her mother, Kathleen Fagan Toscano. He also leaves behind his loving siblings: Gerald Toscano, Alfred Toscano, Carolyn Gilberti, Maria Bergano, Christyann Fox, and Diane Petriella; and his treasured aunt, Sister Thomas Mary Salerno. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Peter’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
