Not sure what to say?

Phil was a great friend and co-worker, much remembered and still missed. Know what you are going thru Patt, especially after losing my Roger last year. Know my thoughts and best wishes for you are in my heart and thank the Good Lord for all of our wonderful memories of those we loved and cared for!

Sorry for the error on my post. The names should have been Jay and Priscilla Offret. The "J" key on my key board would not function.

Phill's Family,
I worked with Phill for most of the years he worked at Hill. He was a great person, we kidded a lot but always seamed to get along very well. He took me and my two boys fishing at strawberry and we had a wonderful time. I am sorry for your loss. I will always rember Phill with fond memories.

Dear Patt & Char - My thoughts and prayers are with you and I am willing to help you in any way you may need me. Phil was a wonderful man to everyone he met. I loved his teasing and joking and when he wasn't feeling well he never let it show or complain. He always made others feel better and they left with smiles on their faces. He was a great partner at work and made those lousy days go faster. I will miss him but am glad he is no longer suffering.

Dear Patt & Char,
Alex and I send our deepest sympathy in the passing of Phil. You are our bowling family, and we recall the fun times we all had at Davis lanes. When we see each other out and about, you were always kind and friendly. Many who knew all of you will have great memories of Phil and the rest of the family.
May the Peace,Comfort and Love of God be with You.
Love,
Alex and Pat Herrera
Kaysville, Utah

Dear Patt & Char,
May God be with you during this most difficult time in your life. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I will be with you in heart & spirit. God Bless You!
Phil, you were a very special friend to me during my days in Utah, and I will cherish our memories of working and bowling together at Davis Lanes always. May you rest in the loving arms of God for all eternity.

Phil, you will be missed. You were always the "extra" grandpa that I didn't have! Until we meet again...

Obituary

Phillip's Obituary

Phillip W. Cave Jr. was born September 4, 1941 and left his body May 4, 2011 in the warmth of his home, surrounded with love, as he returned to the light from which he came. Phil was an honorable man with a powerful will for what most of us take for granted…Life. He struggled for years with serious medical conditions and never gave up the battle. He was a man that believed in and stood for great work ethics, following the rules, and living by the law. He retired from Hill AFB after 25 years of dedicated service as a Programming Supervisor. He was well loved and appreciated by his co-workers as a man that cared for his people, their needs, and would go to extremes to help them any way he could. He went on to manage Davis Lanes, then worked for Citicards before he truly retired. He had countless friends and continued to build new friendships everywhere he went. When you were Phil's friend it would be for a lifetime. What made Phil laugh hardest was causing humiliation. Every Spring he would put on his straw hat and suspenders, pull out his lounge chair and sit with pride (for the whole neighborhood to see) while watching the family do yard work. It gave him great satisfaction. He was also very pleased with himself when he would drive his sports car, windows down, as he drove slowly through the neighborhood with Tom Jones on the stereo full blast singing "Help yourself" to humiliate his kids. The things he enjoyed the most were bowling, fishing, trips to Las Vegas, family cruises, and had a passion for music of all kinds. Under Phil's many layers of life was a heart that belonged to his family. Nothing in his life meant more. His devoted wife, loving daughter, and darling granddaughter were the reasons he fought the battle to live. His words of wisdom at this time of great loss would be "Don't look back. Carry me close in your hearts as you move forward into your future. Dream your dreams and most of all live the life you choose, and do it well". Preceded in death by their son, Phillip Cave (Jodi). Survived by wife, Patt; daughter, Char; granddaughter, Shelbi; long time loved "daughters", Allie (Gary), Karen, Tammy, Krissy, and Cristal.Funeral services will be held in his honor at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main, where a viewing will be held Monday evening from 6-8 pm and Tuesday afternoon from 12:00-12:45pm prior to services. To those left behind...Phil will never be gone…just gone fish
