Phillip Lee “Lane” Joseph, Jr.
Phillip Lee “Lane” Joseph, Jr., age 40 was born on January 26, 1983, in Houma, LA departed this earth on the morning of Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was a lifetime resident of Terrebonne Parish, but briefly lived in Lake Charles where he had gainful employment and favor with his employers. He is survived by his father Phillip Lee “Butch” Joseph, Sr. and his mother Monita Marie Johnson Dejean. Lane also leaves to mourn his passing a stepfather, who he devotedly called “Pops”, Micheal Dejean and a stepmother, Carla Lyons Joseph, his godparents James and Rose Joseph, his grandmother Bessie Johnson Tillman, biological grandfather Wallace Jones, Sr., a daughter Chaunacey Joseph, his siblings, Jarmard Dontrell Joseph, Ronald Dwayne “PeeWee” Joseph and Genita Patrice “white girl” Joseph, and bonus siblings Shereese Dejean, Shereka Dejean, and Micheal Dejean II, Nathaniel Turner III, and Jordan Lyons. He is also survived by Aunts Winnie Joseph, Diana Jones, Barbara Butler, Genevia J. Washington (George), Patricia L Green (Richard), and Jerrlyn J. Duplantis, Uncles Rodney Joseph, Leroy Jones, Wallace Jones, Jr, Ronald Tillman Jr. (Dana), Dwayne Tillman, Terry Jones, Cleveland Jones. He is sent off with love by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandpa Ronald Tillman, Sr., his paternal grandparents Chester Joseph, Sr. and Winnie Bell Sims Joseph, great grandparents Freddie Johnson and Rosedell Nixon, Uncle Chester Joseph, Jr., great uncles Freddie Johnson, Willie Johnson, James Johnson, Northern Johnson, and Lionel Robinson. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home, 617 Bond St., Houma, LA 70360 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Private Burial.
