Phillip's Obituaries

Phillip Jerome Morris, Sr. was born on December 10, 1966 in Richmond, Indiana to Addie B. Morris and Charles Douglas Morris, Sr. He was the fourth of nine children.Phillip, Sr. accepted Christ as his Savior from an early age. He graduated from Amory High School in 1985. He was the best running back in the state of Mississippi his senior year at Amory High School. He was awarded his Associate’s Degree from Itawamba Community College. He was a lifelong lover of sports with football being his favorite and Kansas City Chiefs being his number one team. He was a United States Army veteran and was extremely proud that some of his children decided to serve in the Army and Air Force. He gave the United States Postal Service over fifteen years of exceptional service. Two of his favorite musical artists were Teddy Pendergrass and Freddie Jackson. He loved spending quality time with his children while playing video games, enjoying family dinners and going for car rides listening to music. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Michael Mayberry. He leaves to cherish his precious memories: a loving family: Christina D. James (Ashanti), Laketa L. McFadden (Shirley), Phillip J. Morris, Jr. (Alyssa), Xavier J, Morris, Debra Morris, Charles D. Morris, Jr. (Tawanna), Gwen L. Morris Isom (Earl), Sherri Mayberry, Alford B. Morris, Andrew Morris, Anthony D. Morris (Terri) and a host of other family members to include grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
