PHYLIS F.'s Obituary

PHYLIS F. CLAPPER (nee Cormican), age 83, beloved wife of 59 years to John D.; loving mother of Beth Clapper-Brown (Jeff) and Deborah Clapper; sister of late Rose Marie McNellis (deceased), beloved sister of many; sister-in-law of Robert Clapper (Patricia); aunt of Christine Johnson, Sheila Asato, Kathy Pitkanen, Sharon McNellis, Patty Ehrnreiter and Wendy Osten; and great aunt and cousin of many. Phylis went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 2, 2025.

In her working years, Phylis enjoyed a career as a flight attendant (with many fun stories, some including Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris) and helping family friends with their business, which she immensely enjoyed.

Phylis had an incredible love for her husband and family. She enjoyed trips, meals, game nights, and ice cream, among many other things, always sharing stories and laughter. She found great joy in her friendships, helping people, volunteering throughout all her years, and making friends wherever she went.

As she battled through the last few years, she never lost her positive outlook, always sharing the hope, joy, and comfort that came from her Savior, Jesus.
