Phyllis's Obituary

Phyllis Jean Bippus, a beloved wife, mother and educator, peacefully went to be with Jesus on October 3rd. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friend.

Phyllis is survived by her devoted husband, Kenneth Bippus, and her three cherished children, Michelle Smith, Dan Smith, and Colleen VanDuyne. Her family was her pride and joy, and she nurtured them with unwavering support and affection throughout her life.

A dedicated educator, Phyllis spent many fulfilling years teaching adult education, where she inspired countless individuals to pursue their dreams and expand their horizons. Her passion for learning and her commitment to her students were evident in every lesson she imparted.

 After retiring, Phyllis and Kenneth moved to Sebring where she found immense joy in giving back to her community. She devoted her time and talents to her church, embodying the spirit of service and generosity that defined her life. Her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many, and her contributions will be remembered fondly.

Phyllis was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the lives she touched. As we celebrate her life, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, surrounded by love in God’s Kingdom.

A memorial service will be held to honor Phyllis’s life and legacy on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, located at 4001 Sebring Parkway, Sebring, FL 33870. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM, with the service to follow at 1:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Assembly Church in her memory to continue her legacy of service and love.
