Phyllis Bludworth, born October 15, 1931, passed away October 8, 2024, in Raton, NM at the age of 92. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Phyllis moved with family to Albuquerque, NM in 1954, and in 2019 she moved to Raton.
Phyllis lived a very full life and was a strong woman who had to overcome many challenges. While she could be very independent, there was never a time you would question the love she had for her children. While raising her children, she was also a working woman, retiring after many years of service with the Albuquerque Police Department and the City of Albuquerque. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband in their RV and she was very devoted to her church, in both Albuquerque and Raton.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Bludworth, Jr.; her parents, Elmer and Grace Sanders; sister, Mary Tradup; and canine companion, Missy. She is survived by her children, George MacGregor, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; David Okeson (Cristina) of Houston, TX; Donna Klassen of Raton, NM; brother, Donald Sanders of Denison, TX; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
