Phyllis A. Everett, 79 of Vernon, Florida passed away on July 26, 2025 at Marianna Health and Rehab.
Phyllis was born on November 6, 1945 in Columbus, Georgia to Willie W. Mitchell and Jossie Mae Griffin. A resident of Washington County for 18 years coming from Panama City, Florida. Phyllis was a faithful member of Wausau Pentecostal Holiness Church in Chipley, Florida. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Willie and Jossie Mitchell; husband: Jimmy Everett.
She is survived by her son: Raymond Everett of Broussard, LA ; brothers: Jerry Mitchell (Debbie) of Chipley, FL; Larry Mitchell (Becky) of Dellwood, FL, Steve Mitchell (Vivian) of Marianna, FL; sisters: Beverly Mitchell of Marianna, FL, Annette Shumake of Marianna, FL, Edna Whitehead (Scott) of Havana, FL; grandchild: Kaitlyn Everett of Houma, LA.
Service will be held 3 PM Friday, August 1, 2025 at Obert Funeral Home Chapel in Chipley, Florida with Rev. Roger Dale Hagan and Rev. James Barwick officiating. A private family interment will follow in Wausau Memorial. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at Obert Funeral Home Chapel. (731 Kirkland Road Chipley, Florida)
