I was one of many of her caregivers at (Summer vista) and I will always miss Her big ol smile as I checked on Her throughout the night and Her saying Thank you ma'am and I will always miss telling Her she is beautiful and that I love Her I'm so honored I got to meet Ms.Phyllis and remind Her She is beautiful every morning / night and to Her Family / Friends I am deeply sorry for Your loss

Sorry for you loss

When I was three years old I told grandmama that she was my "best friend". I remember the excitement pulling into her neighborhood and seeing her greet us in the driveway. She always had a little surprise on our pillows in our guest room. She introduced us to plays and movies, she adored traveling with us. When we were nervous about those Florida storms she made games and fun with eating candlelit dinners in the hallway and playing the "island game". She always had a zest for life and...

I was her son-in-law for almost 40 years! She was a great lady. She loved us, especially her granddaughters and great granddaughter. We will cherish the memories of our many trips to Pensacola and her (and Jim’s) many visits to the various places that we lived. We are going to miss her. But, I’m glad she she is back with the love of her life and is whole again.

Susan and Lisa - I share your sadness and grief. I will always remember Aunt Phyllis with greatest affection. She was welcoming and loving to all of our family and I looked up to her (and still do) as a role model of graciousness, kindness and poise. In our years of driving back and forth to New Orleans from Jacksonville, my Mom would not allow us to drive by without stopping for a visit.
