Priscilla's Obituary

Priscilla Mary Hulburt of Johnson City, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on the evening of Sunday, February 15, 2026. Priscilla was born on September 16, 1933, in Somerville, Massachusetts, to Louis P. Bernier and Margaret M. Bernier.

After graduating from high school, Priscilla proudly joined the United States Air Force, where she would later meet her husband, John. She also served in the United States Naval Reserves and went on to build a long and dedicated career with the Internal Revenue Service, retiring after 40 years of service at the age of 89.

Following their time in the military, Priscilla and John settled in Newport, Vermont, where they spent the first 20 years of their marriage building their life together and raising their four children. In later years, they relocated to Johnson City, Texas, where they ultimately put down their roots.

Priscilla loved many things in life, but nothing meant more to her than her family, who always came first. She is survived by her children: daughter Michelle Linsey; son Eric Hulburt and his wife Amy; and daughter Colleen Hulburt and her partner Kenneth Bowker. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Philip Linsey; Logan Lombard and his partner Robert Hopewell; Quinnlin Gourley; Morgan Linsey and his wife Karlen; Hannah Hulburt and her fiancé Blake Kurtz; Colin Linsey; and Michael Hulburt. She was also blessed with one great-grandson, Tyler Linsey.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Hulburt; her son, Michael Hulburt; her parents, Louis and Margaret Bernier; and her granddaughter-in-law, Makenzie Linsey.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with those who went before her.
