Not sure what to say?

I am just now finding out about Mrs Hargrow passing. I am a friend of Sterling and we met in college. My great grandmother was Maggie Mack who was a member of Mt Elam Baptist church. I remember talking to Sterling many times over the phone,, and I could hear her talking to him and the fun relationship Sterling had with his mom, she would call him Mista Man. He loved his mom and sista Kina dearly. I could tell he came from good people. Last time I spoke with Mrs Hargrow is when I learned of...

Audrie I. Hargrow was my Mother, she was a kind and caring Mother, we never had to wonder if she loved us, she always would let us know how much she did. My Mother was a special person, for as far back as I can remember she always taught us about God. She was a true prophetess, as a child she would talk to me and tell me things that happened in her spiritual life (and yes it all came to pass) She had a hard way of life, but she never once gave up on God. She would always say just trust and...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I'm here for you if you ever need to talk to someone, because I know what you're going through. I love you and continue to keep God first and he will see you through this.

Prophetess Audrie's Obituary

Prophetess Audrie I. Hargrow, 80, passed away at her home and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

Audrie, the second oldest of six children, was born on Saturday, February 6, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to the parentage of Horace Gary, Sr. and John-Ella Williams.  She received her formal education and graduated from schools in the San Antonio Independent School District.  After graduation, she relocated near Spokane, Washington where she attended college.  In Washington, she taught nutritional courses while raising her children.  At an early age, she gave her life to Christ under the leadership of her grandmother.  Years later, she accepted her call to the ministry.

Audrie and her family moved to Greenville, Texas in 1975.  As a dedicated, christian woman, she taught her children and family how to love and live a Godly life.  She taught and instilled the word of God in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She valued and appreciated a good laugh, having fun and spending time with family and friends.  She had a huge heart and a gigantic personality.  She took pride in everything she created and did, believing in always looking her absolute best no matter where she was going - she taught her family to have this same belief.

In September, 1992, Audrie married the love of her life, Robert Lee Hargrow, Sr. and they remained a union for nearly thirty years - until his death in October, 2021.

Audrie was loved and admired by many.  Her pure heart and elegant spirit spoke for its self as she was always there to give encouragement and spiritual advice to anyone.  She was always available for those that needed prayer, Bible study, scripture reading or whatever she could do to bring glory to God.  She loved and served the Lord with all her heart as an active and faithful member of Mt. Elem Baptist Church for many years.  She served in many capacities and auxiliaries - teaching Sunday School, choir member, mission board member, teaching the word of God and in any other area she was needed.  She was truly a never wavering, God-fearing woman.

Loved ones left to cherish Audrie's memory:  children, Larry Walker of Greenville, Texas, Ronnie Walker (Lisa) of Washington, Karon Davis (Ronnie) of Greenville, Texas and Kina Walker of Irving, Texas; grandchildren; great grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Schacher-Adame (Thomas) of California; a brother, Jacob Braziel of Washington; a step mother, Hattie Gray of Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Gary, Sr. and John-Ella Williams, husband, Robert Lee Hargrow, Sr., a son, Sterling Walker III, a sister, Geraldine Sanchez, and two brothers, Raymond Braziel and Horace Gary, Jr.
