Ralph H. Leach Sr.
Saginaw, MI
Went home with the Lord Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his home with his family by his side; age 76 years. Ralph was born on April 6, 1945 in Saginaw, MI to the late Richard and Jean Leach Sr. He was married to Shirley on July 10, 1965 in Saginaw, MI, she survives him.
Ralph was a lifelong farmer where he farmed with his brother, sons, and three nephews, and was a member of the Saginaw County Agricultural Society and the Frankenmuth Conservation Club. He served on the Spaulding Township Fire Department for 24 years. Ralph was a faithful member of Hope Community Church in Frankenmuth, and he also served on the Flint River Dike Committee for 25 years.
Surviving besides his wife Shirley and mother-in-law Marva Jean Gilson, are three sons, Ralph (Jennifer) Leach Jr. of Bay City, MI, John (Julie) Leach of Frankenmuth, MI, and Michael Leach of Haslett, MI; grandchildren, Jack and Spencer Leach, Mitchell (Liz) Leach, Claire (Landon) Zwerk, Grant and Jason Leach, Sarah and Kate Leach, Elizabeth (Bennett) Dwan, and Katherine and Emily Leach; great grandchildren, Levi and Shephard Leach, and Harvey Zwerk; brother Richard (Sharon) Leach; sisters Nancy (Paul) Fortier, and Ann Plater; sister-in-law Joyce Quackenbush; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his father-in-law Ernest Wolfgram.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Community Church, 511 N Main St, Frankenmuth, MI 48734, and will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/Frankenmuth.Church. Reverend Nathan Mains and Pastor Mitchell Leach will officiate with burial to follow in Spaulding Township Cemetery. Ralph’s family will receive visitors at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Spaulding Township Fire Department or Hope Community Church.
