Not sure what to say?

He was a great neighbor

I remember one of the first times ever going to Nehring’s Market when my family moved to Grand Blanc in 1980. I was four and of course we wanted something from the candy / toy isle which was across from the register. We picked out green army men with parachutes and played with them for hours in the backyard. From then on my parents shopped there at least 2-3 times per week. I’ll always remember how kind Mr. Nehring wasone time he found all the cash that had flown from my mom’s purse on a...

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Ralph was my very first employer and a great one. He was a great influencer in my life.

Ralph was a very special person. He helped me when I was struggling financially and will always hold a special place in my heart.

I grew up on Maple Ave and have fond memories as a child riding my bicycle to Nehrings and getting candy from the cans that I found in the ditch on the way down Belsay Road. Mrs. Nehring would always save the “damaged candy” in a brown bag for my brothers and friends who rode our bikes to Nehrings Market. Looking back, it was an incredible childhood and I miss Mr. Nehring dearly. May God bless his soul and take care of him and his family.

We will miss you

I have such fun memories of Ralph. His parents and my parents were good friends. We all went to the Calvary Lutheran Church back in the late 40s early 50s then our parents help establish Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. I grew up around Ralph, Gary, Carl, and Sharon. Sharon and I and my brother Don we were close friends when we were children. I can remember riding bikes from my house to their house and then going up to the store when his parents first bought it. I’ve stopped in there often over...

Ralph will be missed by SO many. What a wonderful man and witness to Christ. I am grateful to have known him.

Ralph will always live in my heart as one of the greatest men I've ever known. Strength, care, drive and compassion were like the perfect balance of this humble man. God speed, Ralph. Heaven got the best.
