RALPH's Obituary

     Jesse Ralph O’Nan, 91, of Henderson, Kentucky, passed away February 22, 2026, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Kentucky.

     Ralph was born on March 28, 1934, to Mary Emma (Polley) and Leo Bernard O’Nan.  He graduated from Niagara High School in 1952 and served in the U.S. Army in the Military Police.  He retired from Yards and Grounds at Mead Johnson (Bristol Myers Squibb) and was a Master Gardener through Purdue University.

     As a man of steadfast faith and member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Ralph served on the Building and Grounds and Finance Committees and was a charter member of the Men’s Club.  He was a former board member of Operation Community Pride.  Ralph was honored as a Kentucky Colonel.  He loved golfing, hunting, genealogy, auctions, and collecting.  An avid golfer, he worked part time as a golf ranger at Audubon Park and the Players Club.

    Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gene, Norman, and David O’Nan.

     Ralph married Jeannine Goldey in 1958.  Their marriage was blessed with three children: Jacqueline Caudill (Kevin) of Henderson, Miriam Morrow (Drew) of Mobile, Alabama, and Bernard O’Nan (Michelle) of Ashland, Kentucky.  Ralph delighted in his six grandchildren: Cassie Caudill, Emily Morrow Mullican (Chris), Alex Caudill (Brenna), Andy Morrow, Katherine O’Nan Gandy (Evin), and Lydia O’Nan, as well as his great granddaughter, Lorena Caudill.

     He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

     Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.  Father Ted Tempel will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery with full military rites performed by American Legion Worsham Post No. 40.

     Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. Friday.

     Pallbearers will be Ralph’s family.

     Contributions may be made to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School.
