Rhonda and I always enjoyed talking to Ralph and Vicky he will be missed he was a GREAT guy. Sending prayers to his family..

Ralph was a great guy! Enjoyed running into him at Hyvee Fast & Fresh, he was getting his paper. He was a good friend to all! He will be deeply missed! Bob & I enjoyed visiting with him! Prayers & sympathy to all the family! Soar high up there Ralph! Bob & Vicki Baker

Ralph was always the quiet, but rather goofy and funny cousin to be around. I'm so sorry to learn of his sudden passing. Cherish the memories. Prayers to all.

We took dance lessons from Ralph and Vicki..they were great!! Such good dancers.

Ralph's Obituary

    Ralph Wilson, 77, of Spencer, passed away on September 18, 2025 at his home.  Graveside services will be held Friday October 3rd at 1:30 pm in the Laurens Cemetery in Laurens, Iowa.  The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home of Emmetsburg is serving the family. 

     Ralph Wilson, the son of Oscar and Viola (Nichols) Wilson, was born on February 25, 1948 in Sioux Rapids, Iowa.  In 1967, he graduated from Marathon High School.  Ralph then served in the U.S. Air Force.  He worked construction all of his life. 

     Ralph enjoyed being a country dancing instructor; this is how he met Vicki, and on June 23, 1995 they were united in marriage in Sioux Rapids.  He loved working on crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper, following the Iowa Hawkeyes and making his famous caramel rolls for friends and family.  Ralph enjoyed fishing and looked forward to Walleye weekend.

     Left to cherish Ralph’s memory is his wife of 30 years, Vicki; daughters, Tara and Jalina; step daughters, April (Mike) Lewis of Sioux Falls, SD and Vanessa (Adam) Steffen of North Liberty; a brother, Dale (Raylene) Wilson of Urbandale; a sister, Rose (Rick) Nutting of Gravois Mills, Mo; and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carol Schmidt; and brothers, Roy, Bruce, Keith and nephew Michael Wilson.
