A Celebration of Life for Randy Schneider, 62, of Enid will be Thursday, June 21, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at the Enid First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Susan Southall officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 20, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Randy was born, September 19, 1949, in Woodward, the son of Emanuel and Martha Fiel Schneider and died Juen 16, 2012 in Enid, OK. Randy graduated from Woodward High School in 1967. He began his college career at NWOSU and continued at SWOSU, earning his Bachelor's in Education and his Master's in Education Administration. He was united in marriage to Kim Peak on January 30, 1993, in Woodward. Randy began his teaching and coaching career at Waynoka High School, and then returned to Woodward for the next 18 years where he coached, taught, and later became an administrator. While broadcasting high school sports, Randy became known as "The Voice of the Boomers." He continued his administrative career at Blackwell High School, Woodland High School, and retired as principal of Pioneer High School after 14 years. Randy was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the OASSP, OSSAA, NASSP, CCOSA and numerous other educational organizations. Randy enjoyed golfing, playing softball, and was a supporter of all Oklahoma sports teams, especially OU! Randy was a natural teacher both in and out of the classroom. He had a way of teaching everyone with whom he came in contact; Colleagues, students, friends and family would often seek out his advice, because they knew he'd tell it like it is and pull no punches. Randy will be remembered as an exemplary husband, father, gramps, brother, administrator, teacher, and friend. Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Kim, two daughters, Staci Pennington and husband Heath and Rylie Schneider, and one son, Matthew Schneider, two grandchildren, Coco and Izzi Pennington with a grandson on the way, one sister, Marlene Harrington and husband Ray, numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Schneider Education Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.
