Randy's Obituary

RANDY EDWARD OPALINSKI, 62 of Herminie passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023 at his residence. Randy was born July 21, 1960 in Mount Pleasant, a son of the late Leo J. and Dorothy J. (Bugosh) Opalinski of Scottdale.

 

Randy was employed as a technician for Michael Baker International and was a former employee of Bolttech Manningsin PA and Sandy Lake, NY. In his youth, he was a caddy at Pleasant Valley Country Club. He graduated from Southmoreland High School, Class of 1978, and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in photography. Randy was also a member of the Partner Parish of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Scottdale.

 

Randy will be sadly missed by his loving family; his siblings, Jerry Opalinski and wife Connie of Penn Township, David Opalinski of Greensburg, Donna Garbera and husband Dennis of Pittsburgh, and Kevin Opalinski of Greensburg. He was the favorite uncle of his nieces and nephews: Stef, Dan (Karen), Carly (Ronnie) Grymes, Andrew (Nicole), Ian (Laura), Neil, Nicole, and Julie, Kayla and Greg Garbera. He was a proud dogdad to Wish and will be fondly remembered by many special cousins and friends!

 

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 5-8 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel where Prayers of Transfer will be recited at 10:30 AM Saturday. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 AM Saturday in the Partner Parish of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale with Rev. Father Elmer Alforque as celebrant. Graveside committal service and inurnment will be in the church cemetery next to his late mother. Memorials may be made to: Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. Love Lasts Forever!
